How to Tie a Grinner Knot
Step-by-Step Guide
The Grinner Knot, also known as the Uni Knot, is a versatile and strong fishing knot that can be used to connect a line to a hook, lure, or swivel. It is easy to tie and holds well under heavy loads.
Materials you'll need:
- Fishing line
- Hook, lure, or swivel
Instructions:
- Pass the fishing line through the eye of the hook, lure, or swivel.
- Wrap the line around the standing line 5-7 times.
- Pass the tag end of the line through the loop you created in step 2.
- Pull the tag end tight to cinch the knot.
- Trim the excess line.
Tips:
- Use the same line to tie the knot to ensure maximum strength.
- Wet the knot before tightening it to prevent fraying.
