Caitlin Clark Breaks NCAA 3-Pointer Record

Record-Breaking Performance

Caitlin Clark, the Iowa Hawkeyes' star guard, has set a new NCAA Division I record for 3-pointers made in a season.

In the Hawkeyes' 95-62 Big Ten Tournament win against the Penn State Lady Lions on Friday, Clark hit 6 3-pointers, bringing her season total to 152. This breaks the previous record of 149, set by Stephen Curry in 2008 and tied by Buddy Hield in 2016.

"It's an honor to hold this record," said Clark. "I'm so grateful to my teammates and coaches for helping me achieve this."

Clark's record-breaking performance is a testament to her exceptional shooting ability. The 6-foot guard is one of the most prolific scorers in the country, averaging 27.4 points per game this season.

"Caitlin is an amazing player," said Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder. "She's a great shooter, but she's also a complete player. She can score in a variety of ways, and she's a great passer and defender.
