UCLA football completes comeback against Boise State for first bowl win since 2015

Quarterback Ethan Garbers and linebacker Darius Muasau led the Bruins to victory

The UCLA Bruins football team completed a dramatic comeback against the Boise State Broncos in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl on Wednesday, winning 35-28. The Bruins trailed by 14 points in the fourth quarter but rallied to score 21 unanswered points to secure the victory.

Quarterback Ethan Garbers led the Bruins' comeback, throwing for 304 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Zach Charbonnet rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown, and wide receiver Jake Bobo caught six passes for 107 yards.

Linebacker Darius Muasau had a huge game for the Bruins, recording 14 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. Defensive back Jay Shaw also had a big game, intercepting two passes.

The Bruins' victory was their first bowl win since 2015. It was also the first bowl win for head coach Chip Kelly, who is now 1-3 in bowl games at UCLA.
